This policy explains how Juwazi, a product by Digitalzooks, handles personal information. Depending on the service relationship, Juwazi may be provided by Digitalzooks LTD (Nigeria) or Digitalzooks LLC (USA), as identified in an organization’s order or agreement.
1. Our role
Organizations use Juwazi to administer assessments. For candidate and assessment data submitted by those organizations, the organization generally determines why and how the data is used, while Digitalzooks processes it on the organization’s instructions. For account, billing, security, service usage and direct enquiry data, Digitalzooks may act as the organization responsible for determining the purposes of processing.
2. Information we process
- Account and contact details, such as names, email addresses, organization and role.
- Candidate details provided by a customer organization.
- Assessment content, responses, scores, results and related records.
- Technical and usage information, such as device, browser, session, access and diagnostic data.
- Communications and support requests.
3. Why we process information
We process information to provide and secure Juwazi; deliver assessments; calculate and report results; manage accounts; respond to enquiries; maintain service reliability; meet legal obligations; and improve the service. We do not use candidate assessment data for unrelated advertising.
4. Automated processing
Juwazi may automatically score responses where assessment rules permit. Customer organizations remain responsible for the decisions they make using assessment results. Where law requires human review or imposes restrictions on automated decisions, the customer organization is responsible for configuring and using the service accordingly.
5. Sharing and service providers
Information may be shared with personnel and vetted providers that support hosting, communications, security, analytics and service operations; with the relevant customer organization; or where required by law. Providers are limited to the information needed for their work and are expected to protect it.
6. International processing
Digitalzooks operates through entities in Nigeria and the United States and may use providers in other countries. Where information moves across borders, we use contractual, organizational or other safeguards appropriate to the applicable requirements.
7. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet customer instructions, maintain legitimate business records, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations. Customer organizations may set their own retention requirements for assessment data.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and customers are responsible for protecting their account credentials and assigning appropriate access.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, or request portability. If your information was provided through an organization administering an assessment, contact that organization first. We support customers in responding to valid requests.
10. Children and candidates
Customer organizations are responsible for ensuring they have an appropriate legal basis, notices and consents for the people they assess, including minors where applicable.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected on this page. Questions or requests may be sent to legal@digitalzooks.com. See also our Terms and company disclosures.
